On March 19, 2026, AI policy officials from seven Global South countries—Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, and Brazil—visited the RIKEN Center for Advanced Intelligence Project (AIP). During their visit, Deputy Director Taro Hokugo delivered an overview of AIP and its research activities, followed by an engaging discussion with the visitors.
