The “RoboSax Melody Slot Machine,” exhibited by the RoboSaxGTTM Team—led by Masatoshi Hamanaka, Team Director of Music Information Intelligence Team, and Prof. Gou Koutaki of Kumamoto University—was selected as a winner at ICSR2026 (International Conference on Social Robotics) + ART Grand Challenge.
This project combines melody generation based on the GTTM music theory with a performance by a robot saxophone that plays with automatic fingering. The Music Information Intelligence Team is incorporating AI into GTTM analysis.
