Title: On Parallelism as Hybridisation Made Easy
Abstract:
In this talk we discuss parallel methods for solving combinatorial
optimisation problems. We shall focus on the opportunities brought
about by the availability of multiple architectures of parallel
computing devices: both locally and as distributed systems. The
presentation will cover different approaches to solving COPs in
parallel, focussing on performance and on the possibilities afforded
by having these types of architectures, in terms of algorithmic
hybridisation.
