This work extensively examines eye movements in older adults with mild cognitive impairment (MCI), carefully analyzing both saccadic and exploratory impairments. The authors identify specific eye-movement patterns that show promise in distinguishing between patients with MCI and cognitively healthy elderly individuals.Reported findings highlight the impressive potential of eye-tracking technology in providing meaningful and objective measures for diagnosing MCI. This innovative approach aims to fast-track the development of advanced early detection methods, ultimately improving the lives of those at risk of Alzheimer’s Disease.
