Tomasz M. Rutkowski, Research Scientist of the Cognitive Behavioral Assistive Technology Team, was honored with the Benedict of Poland Award this year.
The award, under the patronage of President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda, was presented to him on September 27, 2024, during a ceremony at the historic collegiate church in Tum near Łęczyca.
The Benedict of Poland Award is a prestigious Polish scientific honor, recognizing outstanding achievements in exploration and research on land, sea, air, and space, and has been awarded annually since 2015 to both Poles and foreigners.
In a congratulatory letter to this year’s laureates, the President of the Republic of Poland highlighted the efforts of RIKEN AIP researchers in using artificial intelligence to address enduring challenges in an aging society. The President praised our efforts to uphold the commitment of science to benefit humanity.
