A series of eight events will be held from July 27 to August 21, offering young people (middle school, high school, and technical college students) the opportunity to learn about the mechanisms and latest technologies of artificial intelligence and robotics, and to think about the future of AI.

Purpose of the Event (from the Summer AI Seminar Website):

Many people might wonder, “What exactly is artificial intelligence?” or “What can AI do?” This seminar provides an opportunity to learn about the mechanisms and latest technologies of AI and robotics. Expand your knowledge of information science and artificial intelligence, and let’s think together about the future of AI. Use this seminar for your exploratory learning. Participants will receive a certificate of participation. This seminar is aimed at the next generation of middle school, high school, technical college students, and first- and second-year university students, and will be held in five cities nationwide from July 27 to August 21. Participation is free of charge. Please check the individual seminar pages for details.

At the 7th seminar on August 20 (Tuesday), Hiromi Arai, Unit Leader of the AI Safety and Reliability Unit, will give a lecture.
