Title:
Redefining humanity in the age of AI technological civilization
– In the context of trans-humanity through enhancement
Abstract:
This seminar will deal with how humanity and human society are being transformed by the progress of AI development from the perspective of AI development as one of a creation of technological civilization. In particular, the relevance of enhancement through collaboration between AI and humans to improve human performance will be discussed from the perspective of ELSI.

Title:
Non-clinical level internet use, multitasking and the brain
Abstract:
Excessive internet use and related IoT use have been noticed to be health problems in recent years. However, normal level of the usages are not investigated precisely yet.
The influence of these recent life habits on our brain function are reported from the perspective of motivation/ reward and attentional network circuitry assessed by MRI neuroimaging scans. As tentative conclusion, these life habits are considered to be health benefits as far as the level of the engagement is low to intermediate levels.
