Twenty young professionals from twelve European countries participating in the MIRAI Program visited the RIKEN Center for Advance Intelligence Project (AIP) in Tokyo on March 13, 2018.
After a brief summary of AIP, Geoinformatics Unit Leader Naoto Yokoya (third from left in photo) gave a presentation titled “Geospatial Analysis for a Sustainable Future.” He spoke about his unit’s research, focusing on technology for geospatial data analysis which is expected to be useful for resolving problems related to global warming and large-scale natural disasters. In the Q&A session after his talk MIRAI program participants asked many questions and expressed their satisfaction with the visit.
