An awards ceremony was held for the first RIKEN EIHO Award and RIKEN BAIHO Award on June 5, 2018. Unit Leader Kazuki Yoshizoe, Search and Parallel Computing Unit received the RIKEN BAIHO Award.
It is in recognition of these research activities that deployment, operation and boosting the peformance of RAIDEN (Riken AIp Deep learning ENvironment), a computer system for artificial intelligence research as the recipient for the RIKEN BAIHO Award this year.
RIKEN BAIHO Award: Awarded by the RIKEN president to those who have accomplished an “original R&D achievement that can be expected to be highly regarded within the field” or “outstanding research support that has made significant contributions inside and outside RIKEN.”
