On January 14th, HAGIUDA Koichi, Japan’s Minister of Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technologyy (MEXT) visited the RIKEN Center for Advanced Intelligence Project (AIP) in Tokyo.
Following an introduction of RIKEN by Executive Director KOYASU Shigeo, AIP Center Director SUGIYAMA Masashi presented an overview of the center’s activities and achievements.
Then, INUI Kentaro, leader of the Natural Language Understanding Team, explained his projects. Minister listened to the explanations with great interests and asked questions about the utilization of AI in education and the relation of AI with human and society.
