On 8-9th April 2025, 1st International Scientific Conference on Neurodegenerative Disorders and the Gut – Brain Axis was held at Nicoalus Copernicus University in Torun, Poland.

Dr. Tomasz M. Rutkowski, a Research Scientist within the Cognitive Behavioral Assistive Technology (CBAT) Team, recently served as a member of the Scientific Committee for the above international conference. In addition, Dr. Rutkowski presented his research conducted at RIKEN AIP. His presentation, entitled “Neurotechnology Approach using Passive BCI: AI for Social Good in Early Dementia Detection Neurobiomarkers,” elucidated novel findings concerning the application of passive Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) technology and artificial intelligence for the identification of neurobiomarkers associated with the early stages of dementia.
