Dr. Trevor Mundel, President, Global Health of Gates Foundation visited RIKEN AIP on August 19, 2025.
During the visit, Dr. Mundel met with Deputy Director Taro Hokugo, Team Director Ryuji Hamamoto of the AI Medical Engineering Team, Team Director Gen Tamiya of the Statistical Genetics Team, Team Director Mihoko Otake of the Cognitive Behavioral Assistive Technology Team, and a few other researchers. They exchanged views on collaboration between global health and AI, as well as potential areas of alignment.
